ALYSSA DAVILA

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Alyssa A. Davila is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. As an Associate Attorney at Godzina Law Firm, she focuses her practice on U.S. immigration law, representing individuals and families in a wide range of immigration matters.

Born and raised in the Spring and Aldine areas of Houston, Texas, Alyssa has deep roots in the Houston community. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Criminology, Law, and Society, from the University of St. Thomas in Houston in 2022. She later earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from the University of Houston Law Center and became licensed to practice law in Texas in 2026.

Alyssa’s practice includes family-based immigration and removal defense. She represents clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Executive Office for Immigration Review in matters involving family petitions, adjustment of status, waivers, asylum, cancellation of removal, and other forms of immigration relief. She also represents individuals in detained immigration proceedings and in appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Alyssa brings a strong commitment to public service to her practice. Having been commended by the Supreme Court of Texas for outstanding commitment to providing legal assistance to low-income Texans, she has completed more than 500 hours of pro bono service through various nonprofit organizations throughout Houston and has also gained experience working with the Executive Office for Immigration Review. These experiences have shaped her client-centered approach to advocacy. Alyssa understands that every immigration case involves a unique personal story, and she takes the time to understand her clients, their families, and their goals.

Outside of the office, Alyssa enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends. A former NCAA collegiate tennis player at the University of St. Thomas, she continues to enjoy playing tennis and occasionally pickleball, as well as practicing Pilates. Alyssa is also a commissioned Notary Public in the State of Texas. Alyssa is fluent in English and Spanish.
